Grounding Interlocking System – Safety Solutions

Integrated safety components for the safe grounding of railway vehicles during workshop maintenance operations.

SPII provides a complete range of components designed to work together with the earthing switch, creating a controlled safety sequence for the correct grounding of railway vehicles during maintenance activities in workshops and depots.

The Grounding Interlocking System prevents access to high-voltage equipment before the vehicle has been safely isolated and grounded. Through a mechanical key-interlocking sequence, each operation can only be performed after the previous safety step has been correctly completed.

The system can include key exchange units, safety locks and pantograph air valves, which can be configured according to the vehicle architecture, maintenance procedures and specific customer requirements.

Key Exchange Units

Key sequences, device configuration, number of keys and key types can be customized to meet specific operational and safety requirements.

Safety Locks

Designed for use on high-voltage cubicles, safety locks help prevent unauthorized or unsafe access to electrical equipment. Standard and tailor-made solutions are available.

Pantograph Air Valves

Available in 2-way and 3-way configurations, with or without key locking systems and with or without microswitches. They support the safe management of the pantograph during isolation and grounding procedures.
